Lots of folks make resolutions as the new year starts. Some pledge to lose weight. Some want to learn a new language. Of course, your ConciEARS want to make Disney resolutions! Let’s find out what is on the minds of our favorite travel planners.
I want to ride Rise of the Resistance! Of course ;)
I’ve been thinking a lot about this quote from Walt Disney:
“Our heritage and ideals, our code and standards – the things we live by and teach our children – are preserved or diminished by how freely we exchange ideas and feelings.”
I’ve been thinking of how much that is a two-way Street. It is my great joy to share the things I love with my kids, to share my values and help them open their eyes to the world. But I need to do a much better job remembering than they also have things to teach me. Their perspectives on the world can challenge, shape, and inform my own. I need to listen more, and enjoy their perspective.
My Disney resolution is to spend time at Disney with my mom, either on a Disney Cruise or in a Disney Park. It's been a couple years since we went to Disney together and we both love it.
My resolution for this year is to participate in a runDisney event. I haven't run in a Disney race since 2015, but I'd love to make 2020 the year to earn another medal! Now I just have to decide which event.
Finding ways to help inform people not to miss out on the Disney Magic!
One of my greatest shames is that I have never been to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. This will be the year!
I read all of these books about the details Imagineers put into the parks, but I don’t always stop to appreciate them. This year I will spend less time running between attractions and restaurants and take time to look for the story embedded all around the parks.
