Hi, everyone! I’m Bethany, and I’m so thrilled to announce that I am officially a Disney Travel Planner with ConciEARS.  The most exciting part of this new adventure is I truly feel like “I’m where I’m meant to be.”  That’s right, ConciEARS is the Flynn Rider to my Rapunzel.  But hold on, I’m skipping to the happily ever after!  Let’s rewind back to the beginning of my Disney story.

My love for Disney began with the films.  My childhood was concurrent with the Disney Renaissance period, when films like “The Little Mermaid” and “Aladdin” were released.  I had all the movies on good old fashioned VHS tapes and all the sing-a-long cassette tapes.  I vividly remember belting out “I Just Can’t Wait to be King” and “Just Around the Riverbend” to any family member that would listen.  I could feel the magic of these iconic films with every song and I was hooked.  

Growing up in Southern California, I was lucky enough to visit Disneyland many times as a kid.  And even luckier to get a chance to visit Walt Disney World, too! The immersive experience of the attractions based on films I already loved just fueled my addiction to the magic.  To this day, I will get off an attraction and have an immediate urge to go home and watch the movie the attraction is based on and vice versa!  This Disney magic, the way my heart feels like it’s bursting with joy, is what continues to bring me back for more time and time again.  

Now let’s sing a little “Hakuna Matata” and imagine me, as Simba, walking across the log and growing up right before your eyes. The Disney magic is more present in my life now than ever before.  I am married to a wonderful man who not only tolerates my Disney obsession, but supports it.  I have two beautiful children who love all things Disney just as much, if not more, than I do.  I’ve never been able to stay away from the parks for long, so I’ve been taking my kids along with me since they were infants. I have been a Disneyland Annual Pass Holder, and now Magic Key Holder, for over ten years. Because of how frequently I visit the parks, I have accumulated a number of tips and tricks that I love to share with friends and family. In fact, I have come to be known as the Disney Guru in some circles.

Here’s where we get to the good part. I haven’t mentioned it yet, but I am a stay at home mom to my two babies who are quickly growing up. Seriously Peter Pan, come and take us to Neverland! As they have grown to become more independent, I found myself wondering about the next chapter in our lives. How can I continue to be a present mom, while also having something for myself?  Enter ConciEARS! 

I have been helping friends and family plan their Disney trips for years. So, when the opportunity to become a Disney Travel Planner with ConciEARS popped up, I jumped on it. I’m not kidding, I was walking into Disneyland and my best friend sent me the Instagram post that ConciEARS was looking to add to their team. I started filling out the application right then and there. In that moment, I knew my question of what our future held was about to be answered.

I am so excited about joining the ConciEARS team! Helping families plan vacations where they can experience the Disney magic at destinations all over the world is going to be such fulfilling work. With my extensive experience traveling and visiting Disney parks with my family, I have tons of knowledge and tips to help make your next Disney vacation extra magical.
