I am so excited to officially announce that I am a Disney Travel Planner for ConciEARS!  Something I have always loved doing is helping my friends and family plan their perfect getaway to the parks because Disney Parks are my home away from home.  Now I get to do what I love all the time!  Since I am a new member of the best group of travel planners around, I thought I would introduce myself! 

It is quite possible that my love for Disney was baked in at birth.  My nursery as a baby was themed for Mickey and Minnie and my very first plushie was Winnie the Pooh.  Let’s dive in. What deepened my love for Disney? Why my first trip to Disney World, of course! It was March 1998 and my dance company had just been invited to perform in Walt Disney World.  My entire dance company was given special t-shirts for the park’s 25th anniversary and a pin that I still cherish to this day. We performed right in Magic Kingdom and later that day I was chosen to dance with Mary Poppins in the parade!  It was a trip I will never forget.

As I got older, my love for all things Disney only became stronger.  While I was teaching, I was also looking for a part-time job to make some extra money on the side.  Where do you think I applied? If you were thinking of the Disney Store, then you were right!  Before I knew it, I was an official Cast Member.  As my time with the company grew, so did my passion for Disney.  I ended up becoming full-time and devoted my love for what I did like hosting trivia and events in the store all year round.  What started out as a part-time job, turned into something I lived, ate and breathed all day everyday.  The guests and coworkers I met in the store became friends I still talk to today! This is when I started to realize how important Disney was to me and it wasn’t just a place to visit on vacation.

Over the years I continued to travel to the parks in Florida, but I had a strong desire to see where it all started in California.  So I ventured on my own out west from New Jersey to soak up everything Walt created.  My original plan was to explore California since it was my first time visiting, but the second I walked through those front gates, there was no chance I was leaving.  Less than 2 years later, I packed up and moved to SoCal!  

Since living out here I met my husband who is also a huge Disney fan, it is what we bonded over, we had a baby girl who had her first Disneyland visit at just 8 weeks old, and we just moved to be closer to the park!  Needless to say our daughter is going to be raised on all things Disney.  Did I forget to mention we had a Star Wars themed wedding? We absolutely did.  It was even featured in the official Star Wars Insider magazine!  I walked down the aisle to the Imperial March wearing a gown inspired by Darth Vader.  We even honeymooned aboard the Disney Fantasy to be a part of Star Wars Day at Sea!  

What led me to becoming a travel planner?  An amazing podcast called The Supreme Resort talked about ConciEARS and I immediately reached out!  I was planning a wedding and working full-time so booking our honeymoon was falling to the wayside.  They took away all my stress and did everything for me!  So yes, I started out as a client before working for the company and I can tell you firsthand how fantastic their service is.
