The entire ConciEARS team is beyond excited to welcome Ryan Gilbert-Hardon, also known as RGH, to our expanding professional travel-planning crew! With a love for Disney that runs deep and a planning style as thoughtful as it is fun, Ryan brings enthusiasm, energy, and expert knowledge to help you craft a vacation as magical as your memories.

A Disney Story That Starts Early

Like many of us, Ryan’s Disney journey began with stacks of VHS tapes and dreamy childhood visits to the parks. But what sets him apart? His very first Disney trip planned by himself—as a kid! Armed with a handwritten itinerary and an ironclad rule (“No buying shall happen until the last day. Shopping can happen at any time.”), Ryan was already on his way to becoming a travel-planning pro.

Growing up visiting Southern California, Disneyland quickly became a staple in his life, forming the foundation of what would evolve into a lifelong passion for Disney Parks, storytelling, and the joy of the journey.

From Beards to the Boardwalk

Yes, you read that right—Ryan is also a veteran of the competitive bearding world, regularly attending events with The Gentlemen’s Social Club of Los Angeles. And true to Disney fan form, those trips always included a solo day at Disneyland to soak up the magic.

It was during these solo trips that Ryan dove headfirst into Disney’s rich history and behind-the-scenes stories, falling in love not just with the attractions, but with the why behind them.

A Family Affair

Ryan’s Disney story only got better when he met his wife Lisa, a Walt Disney World superfan. She convinced him to head back to Florida during the 50th Anniversary Celebration—a trip that would become a defining moment. Planned with help from ConciEARS (yep, full circle moment!), that vacation shifted Ryan’s heart from California to Florida and gave him a newfound love for EPCOT, thanks to its blend of global culture, cuisine, and creativity.

Since then, the couple has welcomed a Disney-loving kiddo of their own, who got his first Disneyland visit before his first birthday! Next up? A dream sailing on the Disney Wish, where Ryan officially became a Disney Cruise Guy—hooked on the service, the food, and the seamless magic at sea.

Meet the Marvel Behind the Magic

If you’re sensing a theme, it’s that Ryan doesn’t do anything halfway. That same spirit led him into the world of Disney fandom and podcasting. Today, he co-hosts Puny Pod, a Marvel Cinematic Universe podcast he launched to fill a gap in the EarzUp! Podcast Network. (Yes, it’s named after that iconic Hulk moment.)

And while it’s focused on superheroes, you’ll catch plenty of Disney Parks chatter along the way.

When he’s not geeking out over Marvel or Star Wars (Galaxy’s Edge is a must-stop for him!), Ryan loves exploring the outdoors and enjoying life with his family in Northern Colorado—a place with its own special Disney tie as the hometown of Harper Goff, the visionary who inspired Main Street, U.S.A.
