We need to wear face masks, so wear ones that are comfortable and show off your Disney style. If you’re planning a trip to Disney, or want to share your Disney love every day, there is a face mask for you. These are fifteen of our favorites, and it was hard cutting the list down to just fifteen! You’ll find these and many more masks we love on our Face Masks for Disney Fans Pinterest board.
Know before you go:
Everyone 2 and older must wear masks. You can take it off to swim or when you are ”actively eating or drinking” and are stationary.
Face masks must have 2 layers.
They must cover the nose and mouth.
Fit snugly and securely.
Have ear loops are straps that make the make hands-free.
Gaiters and triangle bandanas are not allowed.
Costume masks are not allowed.
”The use of face coverings is not a substitute for physical distancing.”
Disney recently added the line about only taking off a mask when ”while actively eating or drinking”. In practical terms, this means you cannot move around while eating. Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival will see some changes,
Disney seems to have a limited number of free masks at the gates if you forget yours, but you can't count on receiving one at the gate. They do run out, and you cannot enter without a mask.
Disney does not allow gaiters or bandanas. But those can be comfortable options for other times in your life.
There are several points to consider when choosing the right face mask for you. The most important one is the size. ”One size fits all masks” are often too large for children. Check the measurements to see if a mask is large enough to fit over your nose and face without being so large it covers your eyes.
Some people prefer masks that tie behind your head. Others like ear loops. Each has benefits and drawbacks. The ties tend to fit more securely, and those with ear loops can feel less confining. Ties can be a struggle to manage and definitely ruin a good hairdo. Ears can get sore with chafing. Silicone ear protectors are available, like these.
Adjustable mask hooks can also improve fit and comfort. There are several options on Amazon and on Etsy, you can find some that have Mickey shapes.
The CDC recommends wearing a new face mask every day. If you're going to Disney for multiple days, take enough masks or prepare to wash them.
Some fabrics are cooler and more breathable than others. Choose a mask that will feel good in your weather conditions.
Choose a face mask that you like. Consider it part of your Disney wardrobe! Share your favorite character or make a statement. Mask design options are nearly endless.
