A Hidden Character Breakfast Gem at Walt Disney World

A couple with Mickey Mouse at Ravello Character Dining Breakfast Walt Disney World

Have you ever dreamed of enjoying a character breakfast without the hustle and bustle of the parks? On a recent adults-only trip to Walt Disney World, I discovered a lesser-known option that combines luxury, delicious food, and Disney magic—all in one elegant setting.

The Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy & His Pals at Ravello, located inside the Four Seasons Resort Orlando, offers a unique and elevated character dining experience. Often overlooked due to its limited availability and off-the-beaten-path location, this breakfast is a hidden gem worth discovering.

Where Is Ravello, and Why Haven’t I Heard of It?

This exclusive character breakfast is offered only on Thursdays, Saturdays, and select Tuesdays, making it a bit trickier to book than the more widely known options. The location also adds to its “hidden” feel—Four Seasons Orlando is nestled inside Golden Oak, Disney’s private, gated residential community. (Yes, that Golden Oak. Hello, dream retirement!)

If you have a dining reservation, valet parking at the Four Seasons is complimentary, and the resort itself is absolutely stunning—an experience in and of itself. Upon arrival, we were seated on the beautiful covered terrace, allowing us to enjoy fresh air and shade from the Florida sun.

What to Expect at Ravello’s Character Breakfast

The breakfast at Ravello is served buffet-style with a generous spread:

  • Made-to-order omelets
  • Bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs
  • Pancakes and waffles with a toppings bar
  • Fresh fruit, granola, oatmeal, pastries, breads, yogurt, and cereal

Your meal includes standard beverages like coffee, milk, and juices. Specialty coffees, fresh-pressed juices, and breakfast cocktails are available at an extra cost—including bottomless mimosas and Bloody Marys, a rare perk in Disney character dining.

Throughout your meal, Goofy, Mickey, and Minnie make their rounds, dressed in stylish golf attire fitting the Four Seasons setting. Guests receive a pre-signed character card instead of traditional autographs—now a standard post-COVID feature.

Ravello vs. Topolino’s Terrace: Which Is Better?

I wanted to compare Ravello to my current favorite, Breakfast à la Art at Topolino’s Terrace in Disney’s Riviera Resort. Here’s how they stacked up:

  • Character Interactions: Topolino features four characters in themed artist costumes, compared to three at Ravello.
  • Atmosphere: Both settings are elegant, but I personally prefer the theming at the Riviera and the views from Topolino’s.
  • Food: Ravello offers more variety with its buffet, but I found the quality and presentation at Topolino’s to be superior overall.
  • Value: Character Dining at Ravello is priced at $56 for adults and $36 for children (ages 3–12), while Topolino’s is slightly less at $52 and $33, respectively. Prices are subject to change and don’t include tax or gratuity.

That said, if you prefer buffet-style meals with a wider range of offerings—or if you’re looking for a more relaxed, less crowded breakfast—Ravello may be the perfect fit for you.

Why It’s Worth the Trip

Even if you’re not staying at the Four Seasons, this breakfast offers some unique bonuses:

  • A peek at the Golden Oak community and its jaw-dropping homes
  • The chance to explore the gorgeous grounds of a world-class resort
  • A character meal that’s typically easier to reserve than some of the in-park experiences

For frequent Walt Disney World guests looking to try something new—or anyone on a quest to experience every character breakfast—this one belongs on your list.
