Drawn Back to Life

by | Dec 6, 2021

Second time’s the charm? Sure. Let’s go with that.

Back in the heady days of 2019, Disney and Cirque du Soleil poised to release their newest creation. The Cirque’s previous show, La Nouba, played at Disney Springs for ten years, starting way back when the shopping and dining district was still named Downtown Disney.

After that venerable show left town, both Cirque and Disney made a very big deal about the next show to hit the stage. Drawn to Life would be a masterful collaboration between the two entertainment giants, setting acrobatics and fun versus the treasured characters and animations of classic Disney movies.

Nearly two years after the initial announcements of the show, Drawn to Life is open to the public. This new collaboration centers around the story of a young girl whose father left her an unfinished Disney animation. The visual tale takes this girl through a journey confronting the nostalgic memories of Disney animated movies and moving into her future.

This show is the 50th production made by the Canadian entertainment geniuses at Cirque du Soleil so it is only fitting that it opens within the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort. Years in the making and years spent in limbo, this show is ready to see the light of the theatre!

If you want to add a visit to the Cirque du Soleil theatre in Disney Springs on your next trip, ask your travel planner! We are happy to arrange additional experiences on your trip, from shows to dining reservations. There is so much to do at the Walt Disney World Resort that you can’t possibly get it all done on one trip.

And if you want help with another visit, we will help you with that too!

See you all real soon!
