What qualifies as a Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel? Disney takes guest service very seriously and wants to make sure that the hotel they partner with takes good care of their guests. If a hotel is selected by Disney to have this stamp they must also keep a minimum Two Diamond or AAA rating. They must also provide a specific allotment of rooms that Disneyland can book. Most importantly they must communicate with Disney for any hotel changes or renovations so that Disney can update their website. These select hotels allow you to stay not too far away from the magic.  Because Disney is handling the reins they want to make sure everything is going well, so they welcome your feedback. Hotels know your reviews can help determine if they can retain their ratings with Disney.

Guests of a Good Neighbor Hotel gain access to amenities that wouldn’t necessarily be available at a Disneyland Resort. Most hotels offer complimentary breakfast which is a huge money saver. Around half of the hotels also offer free parking which is another money-saver, especially if that hotel is within walking distance to Disneyland. Three hotels that are not within walking distance offer complimentary shuttles to and from the parks. Or ride the inexpensive and easy-to-use ART bus system.

Another benefit when booking with a Good Neighbor Hotel is booking a package with theme park tickets just like a Disneyland Resort. All taxes and fees are included in the cost. Quite a few hotels like The Anaheim Hotel, Tropicana & Suites, and the Best Western Mini-Suites are right across the street from Disneyland making it easier to go back and forth. These hotels have a shorter walk to the Parks than the Disneyland Hotel and Paradise Pier Hotel! This comes in handy for anyone who needs to go back to their room to take a break. Some like the Homewood Suites and Hyatt Place resorts have multiple beds in their rooms which makes them perfect for larger families.
